Deal With My BOSS

We're here to help you when things start to go wrong in the workplace. If you're unhappy about something that your employer or a colleague has said or done, we advise that you try and talk to them about it as soon as possible. If things aren't resolved quickly and you or your employer or colleague become angry and agitated, this can cause bigger problems in the workplace.

Legally speaking, it is always best to act upon something quickly. If you don't, any changes to your contract or working conditions could become permanent. If you do nothing, your employer will think that you're accepting any changes or specific behaviours towards you. We recommend that you write down your concerns and anything that happens as this will be a useful record and reminder of the situation.

Some people may find that they have experienced bullying, harassment or an unfair dismissal in the workplace and this is where we can help you make a claim. Our team of solicitors have a wealth of experience when it comes to advising our clients on equal opportunities and discriminatory issues. If you've been dismissed, or your employer starts formal disciplinary action against you, there is a procedure they should follow under a code produced by the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS). As part of this, you should be given the chance to defend yourself in a meeting and to appeal their decision. If you can, you should do this in writing to your employer. You should explain to them why you don't agree with their decision.

If you need advice regarding your workplace and would like to book a consultation with one of our solicitors, do not hesitate to contact us.
